R#66 with Robert Stolt, founder of Fuchs & Hirsch

Robert Stolt
Event professional and festival consultant. Robert Stolt loves events and so it is no wonder that the trained event manager got involved with events at an early age. After his training, he ran his own label, traveled the world as a DJ and also organized extraordinary events, such as a “Vinyl Culture” workshop for the Goethe-Institut in Beirut and Shanghai.

Since 2013, Robert Stolt has also been organizing the “Tag am Meer” festival on Rügen. In the Redfield Podcast, the organizer tells how the event developed there on the beach of the huge seaside resort complex “Colossus of Prora”.

These experiences and the exchange with other festival organizers ultimately led to the founding of the festival consultancy Fuchs & Hirsch. Robert Stolt reports on the business model behind it, tells host Alexander Schröder what advice he has to give most often and how much new developments and sustainability drive him.

In the interview, Stolt gives his assessments of the festival summer during Corona and analyzes who could emerge from this phase with tailwind. He also reports on his “Future of Festivals” trade fair, which has established itself as a fundamental industry meeting for organizers, associations or service providers from the festival sector.
