Next to an intensive live experience THE PARIAH aim to express a view of the world that is more than the usual (hardcore-) clichés: “Principally we’re all outsiders in one or the other way but this doesn’t automatically have a negative connotation. As an outsider you’re able to look at the things around you with your own eyes and keep a certain distance. That’s why we are ‘Divided By Choice’.”
No matter if they talk about the urge to conformity in society (‘Compliant’), the daily struggle with oneself (‘The Veteran’ and ‘Absence’) or if they criticize the anonymous mob that agitates against defenceless and needy people (‘Sentenced’), like in the song ‘Average’ the basic idea of all songs is to stick with your attitude, to never give up and keep a positive approach to everything.
