R#69 with Stefan Schröer, co-founder of SUPERFREUNDE

Stefan Schroer

“Beer, beards, music, friendship” and a beer tasting. In the Redfield Podcast, Alexander Schröder talks to Stefan Schröer, the co-founder of the craft beer brand SUPERFREUNDE. Before this happened, the beer expert worked for JKP and Die Toten Hosen, managed authors such as Muff Potter singer Nagel and Oliver Uschmann; at least represented in the top 20 Spiegel bestseller list. He later founded his own music publishing house, his own label and moved through other positions in the music and media world.

Without any previous experience, he finally opened a crepe and craft beer bistro in Berlin and because the house beer was so popular, the “Superfreunde” ultimately concentrated on the beer brand.

In the interview, Schröer makes it clear: “We are a beer brand, not a brewery” and reveals how the individual types of beer are produced. The reference to alternative music culture is obvious. Now located in Hamburg, the lovingly decorated beer cans and bottles with plenty of skulls and comic-style designs are striking. During the live beer tasting, Stefan Schröer talks about his brand philosophy, how they market their drinks and what sales structure has been established.
