Just in time for the start of the tour on November 8th, the ALEX MOFA GANG is doing it again. “ Jet Fighter feat. Sebastian Madsen “is not just a single with the prominent singer from MADSEN , but rather a benefit campaign for ProAsyl . All proceeds are donated to the aid organization. And to make it worthwhile, Sebastian and the gang have come up with something very special: The song will be released on November 8th as a stream and download, but it will also be available as a limited, hand-numbered and signed 7" vinyl - with a previously unreleased surprise on the B-side.
Why “jet fighter”? Why ProAsyl?
Sascha Hörold, frontman of ALEX MOFA GANG, summed up the idea for the single: “The song comes from our current album 'Ende offen' and the content fits like a glove. We, like the majority of our population, are increasingly shocked by the political developments - in this country, but also across Europe. Nationalist ideas suddenly seem to be becoming socially acceptable again, and right-wing extremist acts of violence are increasing in a frightening manner. But instead of just complaining, we want to support the people who are committed to making things better. We want to help raise urgently needed money for people who provide humanitarian aid and, within our means, draw attention to the fact that you can definitely help shape society.”
How did the collaboration with Sebastian Madsen come about?
Sascha: “We have known each other for a long time, we like each other. We've been MADSEN fans since the first album and when we had the idea of releasing a song from our current album as a charity single, we wanted to give it a special touch. Sebastian was immediately our preferred candidate. We are extremely happy and grateful that Sebastian is lending his voice to the song and the good cause and that together we can put a little exclamation mark against the hate.”
Limited 7" vinyl available November 22nd
The vinyl is limited to 303 copies. And so that everyone has the same chances, it will be available on November 22nd, 2019 in a live sale via the ALEX MOFA GANG online shop . The band will then personally process all orders and also sign the records. So it means: be quick!
