Michael Bisping

They have been established in the live music industry for over 40 years. The Hamburg concert agency ass concerts & promotion GmbH was founded in 1979 by Dieter Schubert and Michael Bisping joined in 1986. At that time, the lawyer decided against his trained profession and in favor of his passion. He previously worked, among other things, in the Bremen concert office of the current CTS Eventim CEO Klaus-Peterschulenberg.

In an interview with Alexander Schröder, Michael Bisping assesses the current situation for his company and the industry, which continues to be massively affected by the Corona crisis. In addition, the concert organizer reports on the company's history and highlights the most important learnings and milestones. These undoubtedly included the development and long-term collaboration with established artists such as Fury In The Slaughterhouse, Faithless, Juli and Wir sind Helden.

In 2013 there was a major upheaval in the company. Majority shares were sold and specialized divisions such as Selective Artists and Dragon Productions were established and strengthened. Michael Bisping explains the strategy behind it and what advantages he and his business partner Dieter Schubert saw in this approach. He also takes a look at the future situation in the live industry and explains how future-proof he sees his business.
