'Island' was recorded by Stu McKillop (Comeback Kid, The Dreadnoughts) at Rain City Recorders, and mixed/mastered by Kyle Black (Boston Manor, Comeback Kid) at Alley Studios in Los Angeles. Life affirming. Emotive. Empowering. These are clear and vital watchwords that reveal themselves when confronted by the barrage of impassioned, caustic vocal melodies, breakneck drums, all flanked by gargantuan punk-rock guitar and bass riffs that are stacked in abundance throughout the latest impressive offering from the Vancouver five- piece.

Living With Lions have been making waves around the world since 2009 with their trademark dynamics, anthemic melodies, and combustible live shows, as well as releasing their critically acclaimed sophomore studio album, 'Holy Shit' in 2011. With the departure of front-man Stu Ross in early 2012, many questioned what this would mean for the future of Living With Lions; Chase, Landon, Loren, and Bill did not. "It was a big decision, but not a hard one. There was so much more we wanted to accomplish as a band" says Chase Brenneman.

With the founding member (Brenneman) stepping up to lead vocals, and longtime friend Craig Spelliscy completing the lineup on guitar, the band began to hit the road once more releasing a 3 song EP, and touring across Europe, Australia, Asia and North America through 2014-2015; The band felt re-energized. “It wasn't a matter of perseverance for us after Stu left, really...” says Brenneman. “We just have fun making music together and playing shows. Why wouldn’t we keep doing it?”.

2018 will prove to be a big year for Living With Lions. With their 'Island' complete the group looks to get back to what they truly enjoy the most, playing music together.

“I know we couldn't have done it without each other. We've learned to lean on one another when things aren't looking good... Despite all the things we went through though, in a weird way, I know the record turned out better because of it.” -Chase Brenneman

Living With Lions have toured extensively sharing stages with bands such as A Day to Remember, The Ghost Inside, Blink 182, Paramore, New Found Glory, The Wonder Years, Title Fight, Comeback Kid and many, many more.
