Established artists such as B-Tight (number 1 in the German album charts in 2018), Phillip Boa, Killer Pilze and Massendefekt rely on Maik Strübe, who founded The Living Proof Agency in Osnabrück in 2011, when booking.
Since then, Strübe has been bringing these and other artists onto the streets, clubs and festivals. In the podcast with Alexander Schröder, he talks about how he built his agency, how a booker also has to be able to “snap” and under what conditions he signs artists and works with them.
In the conversation, both discuss, among other things, the meaning of support bands, whether it is possible to play at major festivals without a professional booking agency and whether they can book other newcomers at a festival at the same time as the headliner. They talk about how the booking industry will develop in the future and which channels seem most suitable for evaluation and advertising today.
