Manuel Overbeck grew up in vibrant Berlin in the 1990s. From there, techno and house began its triumphant advance. Manuel raved along and enjoyed the music to the fullest. He actively immersed himself in the scene as DJ Mantu and later worked for ten years at Universal Music as a DJ promoter and later A&R manager.

In 2018 he founded the company 1st Strike with the former General Manager of Ministry of Sound Recordings Sven Koslik, which specializes in management, label and publishing in the electronic music sector and manages the world-famous DJs Thomas Gold and Deniz Koyu.



In a conversation with Alexander Schröder, Manuel Overbeck sheds light on the special features of electronic music. In doing so, he specifies the philosophy of 1st Strike and the focus of his company, especially in optimizing promotion and marketing measures, especially to improve Spotify streaming and algorithm drivers.
