HAPPY RELEASEDAY, MARATHON MAN - “Fear Sits Next to You” is now available everywhere!
The new album is available as download , stream , CD and standard LP . As a limited vinyl edition, there is a “Glow in the Dark” pressing available exclusively from Coretex ; the red version, limited to 300 copies, has been almost sold out since pre-sales and only ends up in small quantities in stores (still online at Green Hell , Flight 13 and Vinylnerds available).
Of course, the band in particular is really excited about the release of their new album, excited and excited to see how the new work will be received. MARATHONMANN frontman Michi tries to express this feeling and once again emphasizes the meaning of “Fear sits next to you” for his band:
“It’s finally here! After a long period of work, it's an amazing feeling. For us it is the most important album in the band's history. We put everything into this record and couldn't be happier with the result.

“The fear sits next to you” is 100 percent MARATHON MAN, but also because it sounds like no release before. “MARATHON MAN always sounds like MARATHON MAN to us. Nevertheless, we never want to copy ourselves or stagnate musically. We are also constantly developing personally and the new album reflects that – more than any album before,” explains Leo. Despite the absolute will to further develop, the new album came about more directly and naturally for Michi: “We just started writing. It just had to come out without thinking about it too long. In the end, we just wanted to be proud of ourselves.”
After their last album “My Life Belongs to You”, MARATHONMANN took more time to refine their musical and content-related vision. Now, of course, the boys want nothing more than to get the new work on the road and show it to the fans to present live. MARATHONMANN will celebrate the new album at four release events and go on tour with THE PARIAH and DIE HEART as headliners in the fall. Michi can hardly wait for the coming months: “We are really proud of our new album. We stand behind every song, behind every note, behind every line of lyrics 1000 percent."
